The legend said the "Boogeyman" never taped. The reality is that: "Dean was submitted by Rico Rodriguez in an open weight blue belt match, it was with a head and arm (wrestling) pin type of move that when cranked forced Dean to tap. One of only about 5 times in my 17years of training with him that I ever saw him tap". This are the words of a student of him.
The reason why he is so good in defense is because he has solid foundation of the basics and great counters (also he was lucky to born with long tendons and strong bones but this is not the main reason why is so good to defende himself). Here to you one of his defense. Check it out!
