Recensione GI: kimono GRIPS "Secret Weapon 0.2"

    

Il nuovo SW della Grips è un vero gioiellino. A Lisbona ha ricevuto i complimenti di tutti i grandi del Bjj, perfino la concorrenza ha dovuto ammettere che si tratta di un prodotto superiore al resto del mercato. Saulo ribeiro ha detto. " Il Gi migliore di sempre!"

The new SW Gi Grips is a real gem. In Lisbon he received the compliments of all the greats of BJJ, even the competitors had to admit that it is a superior product of the rest of the market. Saulo Ribeiro said: "The best gi ever!"

Il modello che ho ricevuto dalla Grips è quello bianco. Gli altri tre colori (nero, blu navy e blu) arriveranno tra un mese assieme a quello da donna AMAZONA, e quello per le accademie PRIMERO.

The model I received from the Grips is white. The other three colors (black, blue navy and blue royal) will arrive in a month along with the Women's AMAZONA, and the one for the academies PRIMERO.

 
















 Jacket

La giacca ha un taglio sartoriale molto elegante in puro stile italiano. È ragionevolmente corto in altezza, ma con le braccia della giusta lunghezza. Il tessuto è un pearl wave molto morbido e comodo gia dalla prima volta che lo si indossa. Anche se piuttosto sottile e leggero (pearlwave 520 GMS 100% cotone) da l'impressione di essere fatto di un materiale solido e resistente.

The jacket has a tailored cut very italian  style. It is reasonably short on the body length but with long arm. The fabric is a soft pearl weave gi very comfortable just at the very first time you dress it. Although quite thin and light (pearlwave 520 GMS 100% cotton) it stills feels like a very solid piece of material.

 


































Patches & Design

Tutto dipende dal gusto personale. Penso che lo stile minimal di questo gi si adatti bene con il mio stile personale. La giacca del Gi ad ogni spalla è ricamata con il logo Grips. In aggiunta c'è solo un piccolo "logo grips" ricamato sul pantalone destro.

Everything depending on personal taste. i think that the minimal style of this gi fit well with my personal style. In any case the  gi jacket at each shoulder is embroidered with their Grips logo. and only a small embroided "Grips logo"  on the right pants.

 















Lapel & Collar

Il colletto ha i baveri realizzati con materiale in gomma sottile e spugnoso che costituisce il nucleo della maggior parte gis sul mercato ed è coperto da ripstop. Il collare ha una forma anatomica e piacevole.

The collar is made with thin spongy rubber material that forms the core of most gis on the market and  it is covered by ripstop. The collar has a pleasingly and anatomic shape.

Sleeves

L'apertura del polsino alla manica può sembrare un po largha e lasciare all'avversario un modo semplice per fare le sue prese come la spider e altre tecniche dalla guardia. Il lato positivo, è che consentono di eseguire più facilmente l' Ezechiele. Si deve rilevare tuttavia, che maniche troppo strette potrebbe entrare in collisione con le regole rigorose della IBJJF. Mi piace come il bordo dei pantaloni e delle maniche siano rinforzati con un nastro sintetico argentato, semplice ed elegante allo stesso tempo,  che riporta il logo Grips.

Wide sleeve cuff apertures can seem a bit baggy and allow the opponent to easily grip for spider and other open guard type techniques. On the plus side, they do allow for easier Ezekiel chokes. It should be pointed out however, that narrow, tapered sleeve designs could fall foul of the stringent IBJJF gi rules, especially after shrink washing. I like how the skirt edge and the cuff edges are reinforced with logo and synthetic tape, simple and elegant at the same time.

Trousers

I pantaloni sono stati fabbricati con  Ripstop 280 GSM 65% poliestere e 35% cotone. Sono allo stesso tempo leggeri, robusti e molto confortevoli. Il cordoncino che stringe in vita è elasticizzato e lo preferisco di gran lunga al cordino piatto di cotone che tendono ad essere più rigidi e facili da sciogliersi rispetto ai cordoncini tubolari. I passanti sono 6 e collocati in maniera razionale. Nella zona del ginocchio i pantaloni hanno un rinforzo interno in COOLMAX della Dupont. E' piuttosto elastico e abbastanza leggero.

The trousers were constructed with flat Ripstop 280 GSM 65% polyester and 35% cotton.  These are light, strong and very comfortable. The rope drawstring is much preferred over flat cords.I don'tlike the flat cotton ties of my old trousers because they tend to be more stiff and easy to untied in comparison to the 'rope' elastic style ties of the grips. The loops are 6 and logically placed.The knee region  have inside knee reinforcements with a lycra-type material in COOLMAX from Dupont. It is slightly stretchy and quite light.

Reinforcements

I rinforzi interni nei punti di maggior stress in tutto il gi sono stati progettati per garantire una durata a lungo termine. Realizzati in stile tatuaggio giapponese questi rinforzi sono tutti in COOLMAX della Dupont. Gli interni eleganti e colorati sono molto in linea con le attuali tendenze orientate verso rivestimenti colorati. Lo stile sartoriale è anche una caratteristica di questo secondo modello che conserva le misure del primo.

Internal reinforcements at stress points throughout the gi are designed to ensure long term durability. Designed in Japanese style Tattoo those reinforcements are all made in COOLMAX from Dupont. The elegant and colorful interiors make very much in line with today's trend-oriented towards colored linings. The tailoring is also a feature of this second model that preserves the measures of the first. 
                                                       

Weight

A3 Peso: giacca 1150 gr, pantaloni 460 gr, Gi 1600gr. La giacca ed i pantaloni con il primo lavaggio non hanno mostrato alcun restringimento.

A3 Weight: jacket 1150 gr., pants 460 gr, Gi 1600gr. The jacket and the pants with the first wash did not show any shrinkage.

Conclusions

Il Gi subisce tre trattamenti: pre-lavaggio, anti-microbico e anti-odore.E 'disponibile nelle misure da A1 a A4 e viene venduto in una elegante confezione con zip. Il Grips è  davvero un grande gi da indossare in gara o in allenamento.

The Gi undergoes three treatments: pre-wash, anti-microbial and anti-odor.It is available  from A1 to A4 and is sold in an elegant package with zip. The Grips is really a great gi to wear in class or competitions.

Il tessuto del Gi è così leggero che ci si dimentica di averlo indosso! Devo ammettere, è molto comodo da indossare. I pantaloni sono incredibilmente leggeri e calzano a pennello dopo due lavaggi. Il collare in gomma è abbastanza morbida e flessibile per il massimo comfort.

The fabric is so light  that you forget you are wearing it! I must admit, it was very comfortable to wear. The trousers were incredibly light and fitted me perfectly after two washes. The rubber collar is soft but  flexible enough for comfort.

Nel complesso, direi che questo gi si merita 9 punti su 10. Il punteggio elevato riflette l'alta qualità e l'ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. La leggerezza e il comfort del gi è anche superiore a quella di altre marche più costose.

Overall, I would rate this gi a 9 out of 10. The high rating reflects the high quality and good value of the product. The lightness and comfort of the gi, and even surpasses that of other, more expensive brands.

Alcune modifiche che apporterei al Gi sono:  alle ginocchia aggiungerei un rinforzo esterno in ripstop. In alcune tratti del Gi realizzerei cuciture più decise, doppie o triple.

These are some changes  I would made to the Gi: external  ripstop reinforcement  into the knee area. In some sections of the Gi I Would do double or triple firmly stitching.
