Circa due anni fa ho recensito il primo ExtremeGI. Oggi il nuova Gi della Extreme.pro è disponibile sul mercato.

A bit over two year ago I reviewed the first ExtremeGI. Now the new Gi is available on the market.

Il Gi sembra ottimo  a vederlo ma è ancora meglio quando lo si indossa. Ottima vestibilità, leggero ma robusto con quasi nessun restringimento. L'Extreme ProGi mi si è adattato addosso molto bene (A2L), con un restringimento minimo e una manifattura di ottima qualità complessiva.

The gi looked great then but looks even better in person. Excellent fitting, light but strong gi with barely any shrinkage. The Extreme ProGi actually fitted me very well (A2L), with minimal shrinkage and overall very good quality construction.

The Extreme ProGi Gi is made by Italian company owned by Ivan Tomasetti which is based in Italy and with manufacturing in India. The gi is sold via their standalone website - extremeprogear.com priced at 119€. The gi is a unisex model.

Dimensioni - Size
 
La Extreme mi ha inviato una taglia A2L (lunga) Gi. Per la cronaca, misuro 189 cm di altezza e pesa 80 chili. Di solito indosso la taglia A3 in altre marche, anche se con le mie braccia lunghe ciò significa che alcuni modelli di manica mi risultano corti.

Extreme sent me a size A2L (long) Gi. For the record, I measure 189cm in height and weigh 80 Kilos. I normally wear size A3 in other brands although my long arms mean some models sleeves appear short on me.

Taglia in centimetri dopo aver lavato alcune volte il Gi (40 gradi) e averlo asciugato all'aria.

Size in centimetres after seveal warm (40 degree) washes and air dried.

Giacca - Jacket

Il materiale usato per la giacca è realizzato in tessuto 100% High Tech Pearl 450 gsm. Questa densità di tessuto è robusta e resistente ma leggera, morbida all'interno e ruvida all'esterno una cosa grandiosa per rompere più facilmente le prese.

The gi material on the jacket is made from 450 gsm High Tech Pearl Weave 100% cotton. This density of fabric is sturdy and strong but light, soft inside and scratchy  outside a great thing to break more easily the grips.

La giacca ha abbastanza spazio nella parte alta della schiena da non risultare stretta, ma la parte anteriore della giacca aderisce e si addata perfettamente al corpo.

The jacket has just enough room in the upper back as to not be tight, but the front of the jacket pulls across my body and fits perfectly. 

Il bavero è  moderatamente spesso ed è rivestito in cotone ripstop. I ricami sono nitidi e puliti. Le prese d'aria laterali sono rinforzate con toppe in poliestere drift.

The Collar is moderately thick and covered with ripstop cotton. The  embroidery is sharp and clean. The side vents are reinforced with tape and poliestere drift material.

I pantaloni - Trousers 

I pantaloni sono realizzati in un comodo Military Grade Ripstop 100% cotone da 10 once.

The trousers are made from nice light and comfy Military Grade Ripstop 10 once 100% cotton. 

Foderato in poliestere drifit nei punti di maggiore attrito con il corpo. Il drifit aiuta ad espellere il sudore all'esterno del Gi, cosa assai buona durante quelle sessione di allenamento in cui si suda copiosamente.

Lined in polyester drifit in the points of greatest friction with the body. The drifit helps to expel the sweat to the outside of the Gi which is a good thing  during a hot sweaty training session.

Le toppe sulle ginocchia hanno un taglio ad angolo che segue la piega che il tessuto normalmente farebbe per un miglior comfort.

The patches on the knees have an angled cut that follows the fold that the fabric would normally do for better comfort.


I pantaloni mi sono risultati abbastanza larghi in vita per adattarsi a me perfettamente ma anche abbastanza stretti lungo le gambe così da fornirmi una vestibilità su misura. Sei passanti e uno spesso cordino assicurano una perfetta tenuta del pantalone. Le gambe sono larghe abbastanza da superare qualsiasi ispezione, ma quando si fa la guardia o si passa la guardia è molto difficile per gli avversari afferrarle.

The pants are wide enough in the waist to accommodate me but also narrow enough through the legs to provide a very tailored fit. Six belt loops and a thick rope drawstring ensure a tight fit.The legs are wide enough to pass any gi inspection, but when playing guard or passing guard, it’s very difficult for opponents to grip them.

Design
 
I principali punti di design esterni del gi sono il logo "X" Extreme, il Triangolo e il  motto "TRAIN.FIGHT.WIN".

The gi’s main external design points are the "X" Extreme logo, the Triangle, and their motto “TRAIN.FIGHT.WIN”.


Il patchwork è interamente ricamato. Ho trovato il ricamo pulito e di alta qualità. Anche il tape interno si presenta bene e non graffia.

The patchwork is entirely embroidered. I found the embroidery to be clean and of high quality. Also the taping is very nice, not scratchy.

ExtremeFightwear ha mantenuto l'interno di questa gi abbastanza semplice con una patch, che presenta disegno mimetico sulla parte superiore della schiena/spalle, realizzata con un materiale in poliestere drifit.

ExtremeFightwear kept the inside of this gi fairly simple with a camo design patch on the upper back/shoulder area made by polyester drifit material.


Prestazioni durate il rolling - Rolling performance
 
La cosa che mi ha impressionato di più di questo Gi è la qualità dei suoi materiali e la sua manifattura e dopo oltre un mese di rolling e diversi lavaggi ho trovato il Gi di un livello molto alto.

This gi is impressed me the most for the quality of materials and the construction appear to me (over one months of rolling and several wash) to be of a very high standard.

Conclusione - Conclusion

L'ExtremPro Gi è rivolto in particolare agli agonisti che cercano un uniforme leggera conforme alle regole IBJJF per guadagnare del peso. Per un uso generale è una grande uniforme sia per le condizioni di caldo estivo ma anche in inverno perché si asciuga molto rapidamente. Questo gi è sia bello da vedere sia bello da indossare. 119 € direi che è un prezzo ragionevole per questo Gi che vi consiglio vivamente.

The ExtremPro Gi is especially aimed at the tournament player looking for a light, IBJJF compliant uniform when making weight. For general use, it's a great uniform for hot sweaty conditions but also in winter because it dried really quickly so was easily ready in time for your next class. This gi is both beautiful to look at and beautiful to wear. At 119€ I would say this is reasonable to pay that I highly recommend.
