The art of no mind

"The art of no mind, zero thoughts, meditation. It's one of the most difficult things to master for competition. Thoughts are distracting, they lead to doubts and insecurities. 

To truly perform at your best, I believe you need to let go of your conscious mind and let your subconscious and instincts take over. However it's a fleeting mindset, the more you squeeze a fistful of sand, the easier it slips through your fingers. If you just try just to not think, the meditative state will slip away just like the sand. 

To achieve the "mushin mind" you have to find your own personal series of actions or thoughts to lead you to that place of clarity and mindlessness. Wether it be music, an affirmation, mantra or physical act. Or a mix of all. Once you find your personal path to mushin. Practice it, until you can replicate that state of mind at will. That being said, you also just need to bite down on your mouth piece and go hard as ?%#^!"   Keenan Cornelius
