In occasione dell'uscita della serie video di Dustin "Clean" Denes non ho potuto fare a meno di notare lo stile aggressivo con cui viene pubblicizzata. Dustin promette di insegnarti finalizzazioni così dure da "strappare i muscoli dalle ossa"!
Nel Jiu Jitsu abbiamo due estremi: da una parte abbiamo la filosofia di Rener Gracie, col suo "keep it playfull", dall'altra quelli come Dustin Denes che ti promettono uno stile di Jiu-Jitsu feroce, aggressivo, letale, devastante, pericoloso.
A tal proposito mi è venuta in mente una scena di "Scusate il ritardo" un film italiano del 1983 scritto, diretto ed interpretato da Massino Troisi, che, in riposta al quesito esistenziale postogli da Lello Arena e cioè, se fosse meglio un giorno da leone che 100 da pecora, rispose: "Che ne saccio Tonì di pecore e leoni, fai 50 giorni da orsacchiotto accussì nun fai 'a figur' 'e merd' ra pecora, ma manc' 'o leone che campa nu jorn' sul'".
Tra i due estremi perché non abbracciare la filosofia dell'orsacchiotto?
On the occasion of new Dustin "Clean" Denes instructional dvd series, I could not help but notice the aggressive style with which it is advertised. Dustin promises to teach you submission so tight that you can "rip the muscle from the bone".
We have two extremes in Jiu Jitsu: on the one hand we have the Rener Gracie "keep it playful" philosophy, on the other people like Dustin Denes who promised to teach you a fierce, aggressive, devastating, deadly, dangerous jiu jitsu style.
In this regard I was reminded of a scene from "Sorry for the delay" a 1983 Italian comedy film written, directed and starred by Massimo Troisi. In response to the existential question from Lello Arena, if it was better live a day like a lion then 100 days like a sheep, he answered, " Toni I don't know about sheep and lions ... let's do 50 days like a teddy bear so you do not make a shitty figure like the sheep, but even that of the lion who lives one day."
Between the two extremes, why not embrace the Teddy bear philosophy?
